Celero One

Use Case –
Real-Time Digital Field Operations Management

Turning downtime into immediate productivity

“In field operations, things rarely go exactly according to plan – what matters is how quickly you respond.”

Katharina works as a student field representative and regularly supports retail promotions. Processes are clearly structured and assignments carefully planned – at least in theory.

But on this particular day, everything turns out differently.

On the way to the assignment, she loses valuable time in traffic. When she finally arrives at the store, the next surprise follows:
The promotional products she is supposed to present have not yet been delivered.

“In moments like this, you realise the whole day is at risk,” Katharina explains.

From problem to information – within seconds

In the past, this would have meant: Phone calls with headquarters, follow-up questions, coordination – and above all: waiting. Time that creates neither productivity nor value.

Today, the process works completely differently. Katharina simply opens the Celero One app and reports the status directly within the assignment: “Location reached, products missing.”

Nothing more is required. “I don’t need to call anyone or explain anything. Two clicks – and the information is exactly where it needs to be.”

Real time instead of delays

This is where the crucial part happens in the background.

The information is transmitted to headquarters in real time. The responsible teams immediately see what has happened on site – without delays and without media disruptions.

“In the past, we often only found out later that something had gone wrong,” explains a member of the scheduling team.

“Today, we see these situations immediately – and can react straight away.” And that is exactly what happens.

Dynamic coordination instead of downtime

Instead of sending Katharina home without completing any work, she immediately receives another option.

In the app, she can instantly see whether additional suitable assignments are available nearby – for example a store check that was already planned. With just a few clicks, she can accept the assignment and continue her day productively.

“I simply checked the app and saw that there was another assignment nearby. I accepted it straight away and continued working.”

What would previously have been a lost day is now converted into productive working time.

Transparency as the basis for operational control

The foundation for this is complete real-time transparency.

All relevant data – status updates, assignment progress and changes – is centrally consolidated within the system and available at all times.

“We no longer manage our processes afterwards,” the team explains. “We manage them exactly at the moment they happen.”

This changes not only the speed of decision-making, but also its quality.

From reaction to proactive operational management

Through real-time communication and flexible scheduling, a reactive process becomes an active operational control model.

Disruptions are no longer simply managed – they are compensated for immediately.

“We no longer lose entire days because of unexpected events,” Katharina summarises. “We simply keep going.”

Celero One ensures that every assignment in dynamic field operations is used optimally – even when real life intervenes.
